Digital Apprentice
Data Technicians collect, process, format and present data securely to support business decisions. They analyse and combine data from multiple sources, communicate findings, follow legal and ethical standards, and work with stakeholders across sectors while maintaining data quality, security and awareness of emerging technologies.
Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated apprentice to join our team, supporting colleagues to make better use of digital tools, data and insight to improve services for Westminster's communities.
Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will develop practical skills while contributing to a range of projects and day-to-day activities. Your responsibilities will include:
• Supporting the collection, organisation and maintenance of data to help inform decision making.
• Assisting with the creation of simple reports, dashboards and performance information.
• Learning how digital technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), can be used responsibly to improve ways of working.
• Supporting colleagues to use digital tools effectively and confidently.
• Helping to identify trends and insights from data to support service improvements.
• Assisting with monitoring the impact of projects and initiatives using data and evidence.
• Working with different teams across the organisation to understand business needs and support digital improvement activities.
• Following data protection, information governance and ethical AI principles in all aspects of your work.
• Taking part in learning opportunities provided through the apprenticeship and Diverse Futures programme.
Training
Training takes place online once a month
Graduates typically step into entry-level roles as Data Analysts, Reporting Analysts, or Database Technicians
