DevOps Engineer Apprentice

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice DevOps Engineer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to learn about cloud infrastructure and system support while working alongside experienced professionals. The successful candidate will undertake the ICT Apprenticeship Standard.

Role

You will receive training and mentorship to develop the skills needed to support and optimise our DevOps processes. Additionally, you will assist with internal hardware and software support and help liaise with support tickets to ensure smooth IT operations.

  • Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
  • Support the implementation and management of CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes
  • Learn and apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform
  • Assist in security, compliance, and backup strategies to ensure system reliability and integrity
  • Learn and apply Software Defined Networking (SDN) principles to improve network efficiency and automation
  • Help manage and liaise with support tickets, ensuring timely resolution of IT-related problems
  • Document processes, contribute to knowledge sharing, and continuously improve DevOps workflows
