SQL Engineer

Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a SQL Engineer based in Shropshire for an initial 6 month contract.

*INSIDE IR35.*

*MUST BE SC ELIGIBLE.*

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply SQL schemas and packages across various environments, including 30 CESA VME STU, 40 CRS, and 20 SLP WebLogic environments.
  • Manage and deploy SQL schemas, particularly focusing on VME schemas.
  • Create and manage handovers for VME, WebLogic, and HostTalk environments.
  • Perform upgrades and maintenance for dev/test environments.
  • Rebuild WebLogic domains and edit properties files as needed.
  • Deploy HostTalk MSI handovers and manage different versions for various projects.
  • Perform housekeeping tasks, especially for Unix/WebLogic environments, and raise RFCs with the client for filesystem issues.

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience with SQL schema application and management.
  • Knowledge of VME, WebLogic, Tuxedo, Windows, and SQL databases.
  • Ability to solve problems related to VME, WebLogic, and HostTalk environments.
  • Familiarity with deploying handovers and performing upgrades.
  • Ability to rebuild WebLogic domains.
  • Strong organizational skills for managing different versions of HostTalk and GovRules.
  • Experience with Unix/WebLogic housekeeping.
