IT Apprentice

A rare opportunity has arisen for an aspiring IT professional to begin their career within our growing IT team. This apprentice position offers the chance to gain hands-on experience supporting the business-critical systems that keep the firm running smoothly, while working alongside experienced IT professionals.

Role

As an apprentice, you'll play an important role in supporting the software applications used by colleagues across the firm. You'll learn how to troubleshoot technical issues, manage user access, assist with system updates and testing, including involvement in the development of legal case flows and provide first-line support to users. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys technology, problem-solving and helping others. No extensive technical experience is required – we're looking for someone with enthusiasm, curiosity and a genuine passion for learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line support for business applications, helping colleagues resolve system and software issues.
  • Manipulation of data through imports to case systems and producing reports for both internal and external clients.
  • Assist with user account administration, including access requests, permissions and onboarding activities.
  • Support testing, maintenance and updates of key business systems and applications
  • Log, monitor and manage support requests, ensuring users receive a professional and responsive service.
  • Create and maintain user guides, support documentation and process notes.
  • Work alongside the wider IT team and external suppliers to support the continuous improvement of firm systems.

Training

  • Expected duration: 15 Months
  • Apprenticeship level: Level 3
  • Programme: Digital Service Technician

During this apprenticeship, you will follow a fully supported training programme with LearnTech, delivered through combined weekly remote classroom-based training, workplace assessment/training and online learning working towards completing the Level 3 Digital Service Technician qualification.
