Underwriting Transformation/Product Consultant
Underwriting Transformation/Product Consultant
We're working on a major underwriting transformation programme for a global insurer, focused on a multi year, multi billion dollar re platforming of their underwriting capability. The role partners closely with Underwriting teams globally (with a strong Energy and P&C focus), shaping and prioritising requirements, defining MVPs, and helping drive consistency across markets while respecting genuine business variation. It's a strategic role, but very hands on when needed - working with senior underwriters and executives, influencing priorities, and supporting delivery through pragmatic requirements and decision making.

Responsibilities;
- Work directly with underwriters, underwriting leadership, executives, and enterprise architects to shape and prioritise requirements
- Help define MVPs that are genuinely fit for purpose while ensuring solutions are harmonised across the global business
- Play a key role in distinguishing legitimate variation (driven by market, regulatory, or business need) from non legitimate variation that undermines scale and consistency
- Influence priorities, manage expectations, and help steer decision making across a complex stakeholder landscape
- Support delivery by getting hands on where needed - including requirements gathering, analysis, and articulation - rather than operating purely at steering committee level
