Head of Data/VP of Data Delivery - On Prem/Azure Migration
Our client, a leading specialty London Market insurer, is hiring a Head of Data/VP of Data Delivery. Sitting under the CIO, this role owns and enacts the Data & BI roadmap, driving delivery through a small but highly capable internal team and strategic third-party partners. With a roadmap focused on migrating on-prem SSIS/SSAS/SQL into Azure Data Lakes, this is a fantastic opportunity to shape and deliver modern data solutions in a business that values innovation, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement.
You'll thrive in this role if you:
- Have proven experience as Head of Data, Data Engineering or Data Warehouse leadership
- Bring expertise in delivering data roadmaps, engineering, reporting, and data quality initiatives
- Possess strong knowledge of Azure Cloud Data Warehousing and Data Lakes - including previous experience of Azure migrations
- Understand the Lloyd's/London Market insurance domain (highly desirable)
- Are consultative, able to listen and solve stakeholder problems while selling data as a business enabler
- Remain a data person at heart, but are passionate about how data drives business outcomes
Nice to have:
- Power BI experience
- Exposure to finance data and reporting
This position is offered as a permanent role with a salary of £130k plus bonus. The successful candidate will be expected to work onsite in the London office 2 days per week to support collaboration and effective delivery. Offices are based in London, and successful candidates should ideally be able to start within 3 months.
