Business Development Manager

Our client is an established and growing provider of waste management and recycling solutions. Due to continued expansion, they are now seeking a driven and experienced Business Development Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated sales professional to take ownership of a territory and play a key role in driving new business growth within a well-respected organisation.

As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and selling a comprehensive range of waste management and recycling services to commercial clients.

You will work with businesses across a variety of sectors, offering tailored, value-led solutions rather than competing on price alone. This is a field-based role suited to someone who thrives on autonomy, relationship-building, and closing deals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities within your designated area
  • Sell a full range of services, including:
    • Commercial waste collections
    • Recycling services
    • Total waste management solutions
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Deliver consultative, bespoke solutions based on customer needs
  • Negotiate contracts within defined margins
  • Manage your pipeline effectively

The Candidate:

  • You must have field sales experience from within the Waste Management Industry
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently
  • A proactive mindset and willingness to take initiative
  • The ability to negotiate and sell on value, not just price
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
