Salesforce Test lead
Role Summary
The Salesforce UAT Test Lead will be responsible for leading end‐to‐end User Acceptance Testing for Salesforce implementations and enhancements. This role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and system integrators to ensure Salesforce solutions meet business requirements and are production‐ready.
Key Responsibilities
UAT Strategy & Planning
- Define and own the UAT strategy, approach, scope, and timelines for Salesforce programmes
- Prepare and maintain UAT Test Plans, Test Scenarios, and Acceptance Criteria aligned to business requirements
- Identify UAT risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans
Salesforce Functional Testing
- Lead functional and UAT testing across Salesforce clouds, including:
- Sales Cloud
- Service Cloud
- Experience Cloud
- CPQ / FSC (if applicable)
- Validate end‐to‐end business processes, integrations, and data flows
- Ensure testing covers regression, smoke, and release readiness activities
Stakeholder & Business Engagement
- Work closely with business users and Product Owners to define UAT scenarios
- Facilitate UAT walkthroughs, defect triage calls, and sign‐off sessions
- Act as the key SPOC between business, QA, and development teams
Defect & Test Management
- Manage defect logging, triage, prioritisation, and closure using tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or ALM
- Track UAT progress, metrics, and reporting on daily and weekly basis
- Ensure all UAT exit criteria and quality gates are met before go‐live
Governance & Go‐Live Support
- Drive UAT sign‐off and release readiness approvals
- Support cutover activities, release validation, and post‐production verification
- Ensure test artefacts are complete, auditable, and compliant with delivery standards
Required Skills & Experience
Mandatory:
- Strong experience as UAT Test Lead / Functional Test Lead on Salesforce programmes
- In‐depth functional knowledge of Salesforce business processes
- Hands‐on experience in UAT planning, execution, defect management, and sign‐off
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum delivery models
- Excellent stakeholder communication and coordination skills
