About the role
\n
With Wise Assets, we’ve enabled customers to grow the money they hold with Wise - giving them access to government-backed assets that track base rates, or a global stock index fund. This is a product that challenges traditional banking by putting customers in control of how their balance is held. Banks keep the yield; we pass it on.
\n
The approach is unique:
\n
• A current account backed by real assets
\n
• Daily returns across the entire balance
\n
• Instant access with no penalties or lock-ins
\n
• Segregated, bankruptcy-protected custody
\n
Now we’re expanding the offering further. We want to let customers invest in individual stocks, build long-term, tax-beneficial money pots, and manage more of their financial lives directly through Wise.

You will define how this works from the ground up - shaping the product, the technical foundations, and every detail that makes it real.

What do you need?
\n

- \nA strong product mindset and passion for user experience, you prioritise work with the customers in mind and make data-driven decisions to fix customer pain-points\n
- \nGreat communication skills and the ability to articulate complex, technical concepts to non-technical audiences\n
- \nAbility to work independently while also being a supportive team player. Your work will frequently involve cross-team collaboration.\n
- \nAbility to break down complex projects into incremental milestones that deliver customer value\n
- \nAbility to coordinate complex projects across different teams\n
- \nExperience in developing web applications and distributed systems in a production environment\n
- \nExperience with common design and architectural patterns coupled with a passion for writing clean code that is performant and well tested\n
- \nCuriosity and drive for continuous learning and improvement\n
- \nFollowing and advocating best coding practices, continuous delivery and code reviews\n
- \nExperience working with relational and non-relational databases, query optimisation and designing schemas is a plus\n
- \nKnowledge of Java and Spring boot and experience with a messaging system, like Kafka, is a plus... but don’t worry we don’t expect you to know everything!\n
