Business Development Manager

This opportunity combines product sales and services, offering a consultative, relationship-focused sales environment within a well-established, technically led organisation operating across the industrial, engineering, and new energy sectors.

The role
This business has a strong presence across Northern England, with the North East and North West both playing a strategically important role in its future growth. The Business Development Manager will develop and grow relationships across both regions.

The position will require operating across multiple industrial hubs, building credibility quickly, and developing long-term customer relationships within technically complex environments.

What you ll be doing
Developing new business opportunities across both product sales and service offerings throughout the North East and North West
Building and strengthening an existing network of customer relationships across Northern England
Engaging with engineering, maintenance, operations, and procurement stakeholders
Managing the full sales cycle, from early conversations through to contract award
Representing the business at client meetings, site visits, and relevant industry events

Your background
You ll likely have built your commercial experience within one or more of the following sectors:
Onshore Oil & Gas
Petrochemical
Pharmaceutical
Manufacturing
MOD or defence-related projects

Previous experience selling technical products, services, or integrated solutions into regulated or operationally complex environments would be perfect.

A consultative, professional sales approach focused on long-term value
Confidence engaging with a broad range of technical and commercial stakeholders
Strong organisation and territory management skills
Full UK driving licence
