Role Purpose:

We are seeking experienced
Lecturers
to teach as part of our
HND in Digital Technologies (Cyber Security)
programme. You will deliver modules covering Big Data, Cyber Security, Networking, Programming, IoT, and other emerging technologies. This role involves developing and delivering comprehensive course materials, facilitating learning, assessing students, and staying up to date with sector developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess student work to meet all learning outcomes.
  • Develop, update, and enhance course materials as appropriate.
  • Employ a variety of teaching methods to enhance engagement and learning.
  • Participate in staff development, peer observations, and departmental meetings.
  • Keep up to date with the latest developments in Digital Technologies and student support practices.
  • Work towards objectives for student attendance, completion, satisfaction, and progression.
  • Supervise student work and provide feedback, maintaining organized and accurate student records.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Master's degree in a relevant subject area. Teaching qualifications such as PGCHE, MA in HE Practice, or FHEA are desirable.
  • Previous UK HE lecturing experience in Digital Technologies or related areas.
  • Expertise in two or more of the following areas:
  • Programming and software development
  • Web development and digital marketing
  • Database systems
  • Cloud computing
  • Networking and cybersecurity
  • IoT and emerging technologies
  • Business analysis and digital transformation
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-working skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of students.
