Research Content Editor (Remote)

• Compensation: $15 - $18 per hour based on location, experience, responsibilities, and performance.

Role Overview: We are hiring on behalf of one of our clients, a leading global player in the AI space. This remote, part-time contract role is designed for individuals who combine strong investigative skills with editorial polish. As a Research Content Editor, you will be responsible for validating and refining the information provided by the AI model. Your goal is to ensure that the AI acts as a reliable research assistant, producing content that is not only well-written but also factually accurate, well-sourced, and free of "hallucinations."

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify the accuracy of AI-generated responses by conducting independent research using reliable sources (academic databases, news archives, official reports).
• Edit content to ensure proper citation and attribution of sources, correcting the model when it invents references or misinterprets data.
• Craft prompts that test the AI's ability to synthesize large amounts of information, such as summarizing research papers or comparing historical timelines.
• Review and rewrite summaries to ensure they capture the nuance and key findings of the original source material without distortion.
• Identify and correct "hallucinations" (confident but false statements), providing the model with the correct facts and the evidence to support them.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in research, journalism, academic writing, or professional editing.
• Strong familiarity with citation standards (APA, MLA, Chicago) and the principles of academic integrity.
• Exceptional web research skills with the ability to quickly assess source credibility and bias.
• Meticulous attention to detail, specifically regarding names, dates, statistics, and technical terminology.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment, managing time across multiple projects.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Rate: Earn up to $18 USD/hr (Rates vary based on project complexity and expertise).
• Flexibility: 100% remote with no fixed schedule. Contributors typically spend 5–10 hours per week, with the option to work up to 40 hours.
