Background
Most infrastructure products are built by backend engineers, for backend engineers. The result is often powerful technology hidden behind clunky workflows, steep learning curves, and user experiences that feel like an afterthought.
This Series-B company has taken a different approach. Their platform helps engineering teams understand, govern, and operate one of the most widely adopted data technologies in the world. Thousands of developers rely on it every day to explore their systems, troubleshoot issues, and manage critical data flows across their organisations.
Following strong growth, international expansion, and continued investment in the product, they’re now hiring a Frontend Engineer to join their London team.
What you'll be building
The primary interface between developers and vast, complex streams of operational data.
The product gives engineering teams visibility into what’s happening, ownership over what’s theirs, and the autonomy to solve problems without waiting for specialist support.
The challenge is taking complex concepts and designing fast, intuitive experiences. Helping users understand what’s happening across distributed systems without needing to think like distributed systems experts.
Who this is for
- You’re strong with TypeScript and React and enjoy building modern frontend applications
- You care deeply about UX, visual design, and simplifying complexity for users
- You’re excited by the idea of helping developers solve real problems faster
- You take pride in building polished, performant interfaces
- You enjoy collaborating with Product and Design
One thing worth flagging
The most successful hire here will be more of a “ frontend-of-the-frontend ” engineer. Someone who thinks beyond components and implementation details. You'll obsess over workflows, information architecture, navigation, visual hierarchy, and how users actually experience a product.
If you’ve ever looked at a complex tool and immediately started thinking about how it could be made simpler, clearer, and more intuitive, you’ll enjoy working on this.
