Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Fabric / Power BI Data Analyst to join our Data & Analytics team. This role is pivotal in improving data quality, building robust data pipelines, and producing automated dashboards that drive decision-making across the business. The ideal candidate will be technically strong, proactive, and capable of delivering high-quality insights to both senior management and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance data quality across all business systems.
  • Design, build, and maintain data pipelines for various teams.
  • Produce automated dashboards for Senior Management and teams including Marketing, Business Development, Commercial, and Delivery.
  • Maintain and optimise existing internal data products, including:
  • Performance optimisation of DAX formulas
  • Improved cloud compute usage
  • Addition of actionable insights
  • Conduct independent research and translate technical documentation into practical solutions.
  • Present insights and solutions clearly to stakeholders.

Hard Skills / Technical Requirements:

Must-Have:

  • Microsoft PL-300 Certification
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Data Analytics, Data Engineering, or Power BI
  • Knowledge of ETL processes within Microsoft Fabric
  • Experience designing and implementing Dataflows and Dashboards in Power BI Service
  • Strong understanding of REST API principles
  • Advanced DAX skills
  • Advanced Power Query skills

Nice-to-Have:

  • Microsoft DP-700 Certification
  • Python for data analysis
  • Spark & PySpark experience
  • Evidence of dashboards or system integration projects
  • Knowledge of CI/CD in Microsoft Fabric / Azure DevOps
  • Familiarity with latest Power BI features such as field parameters and direct lake

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to independently research and interpret technical documentation
  • Strong documentation and code annotation discipline
  • Consulting-level problem-solving capability for technology business cases
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Proficiency in using AI tools like ChatGPT to support analytics tasks
