£30,000 to £37,000 Basic Salary

Redditch HQ, hybrid working arrangement of 3 office days

Responsible for the Data & Compliance Team delivering an outstanding level of customer service to meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders. To ensure high levels of accuracy and knowledge of current funding regulations within the team to ensure compliance with funding body requirements and funding codes of practice. Provision of first aid continuity cover for the office.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Level 3 Management qualification
  • Formal audit qualification
  • Holds, or willingness to work toward, First Aid certification
  • Level 2 English and maths

Desirable Experience:

  • Specialist experience of managing Compliance teams in education and training sector
  • Expert level working knowledge and experience of:
  • ESFA funding rules
  • Conducting internal funding audits
  • AEB & ESFA ILR processing requirements

Key duties

  • Ensure own CPD and professional competency is maintained
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding, playing your part to protect colleagues and learners against all types of bullying, radicalisation or abuse
  • Manage a team of employees’ performance by undertaking monthly 121 meetings and agreeing annual CPD plans with them
  • Ensure regular training and updates are provided for team members
  • Ensure current Process Guides are in place for all data inputting processes and that these are reviewed on an annual basis or when statutory changes occur
  • Take responsibility for the protection of data in line with policies and procedures
  • To ensure the monthly funding claim is submitted on an accurate and timely basis
  • To reconcile monthly claims against funding body reports and implement remedial action (eg Provider Data Self-Assessment Toolkit / PDSAT and Funding Rules Monitoring / FRM reports)
  • To provide timely and accurate information on performance against funding body requirements
  • Ensure employers are supported in accessing and using the Apprenticeship Service
  • Ensure processes and resources are in place to address Apprenticeship Service errors and overdue payments in a timely manner
  • Undertake a regular schedule of internal audits to provide management reassurance and evidence of compliance, developing and implementing improvement measures where necessary
  • Produce management information for review by line manager and other members of the Management / Executive team as required
  • Ensure all stakeholders are aware of the processing SLAs and proactively adjust the team’s focus when required in order to meet these
  • Implement and monitor quality-orientated administrative processes, ensuring these are as efficient and automated as possible
  • Ensure learner eligibility requirements are met in line with funding rules and compliance expectations
  • Take ultimate responsibility for ensuring Health and Safety risk assessments are conducted annually and that actions arising from these are resolved in a timely manner
