We are seeking a passionate and innovative Computing Teacher to join our secondary school. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire the next generation of digital thinkers, programmers, and problem-solvers. You will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Computing lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Teach core areas including programming, algorithms, data representation, networks, and digital literacy
- Develop students computational thinking and problem-solving skills
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback
- Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including SEN and high attainers
- Contribute to curriculum planning and development within the department
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
- Support and participate in enrichment activities, clubs, or STEM initiatives
- Ensure safe and responsible use of technology and online systems
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge in Computing or Computer Science
- Ability to teach programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, or similar)
- Confident classroom practitioner with effective behaviour management skills
- Passionate about technology and inspiring young people
- Commitment to raising achievement and continuous professional development
