About The Role

Our partner is looking for a hands-on Tech Lead, proficient in Angular, TypeScript and Java, to join a high-performing delivery team on a large-scale digital product build. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you’ll shape architecture, advocate for software excellence and guide engineers across the stack.

This contract offers a hybrid model, represented by 2 days per week onsite in West Yorkshire.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end build and delivery of modern web applications using Angular, TypeScript and Java.
• Design and implement cloud-native solutions using AWS, ensuring scalability, reliability and performance.
• Own and optimise CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth, reliable and efficient deployments across an AWS environment.
• Provide technical leadership across architecture, design, implementation and DevOps.
• Mentor and support junior developers and squad leads, providing guidance, code reviews and technical leadership throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Promote engineering standards through best practices (e.g. TDD, SOLID, clean code etc).
• Drive continuous improvement across performance, security and scalability.

Skills/Requirements

• Proven experience in a Lead Developer or Tech Lead role, ideally on large-scale applications.
• Deep expertise in Angular and TypeScript (preferably with exposure to Java backends too).
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud technologies.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tooling and IaC.
• Ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in Agile teams and fast-paced delivery environments.
