Pharmacy and Medicines Data Analyst

Job summary

To provide specialist information performance support to the Pharmacy Department and work as part of the Information Team. The post holder will be a lead information specialist in designated functions/project areas and will be required to provide specialist advice and support in these areas. The post holder will be required to implement policies and propose changes to practices and procedures for designated functions/project areas.

Main duties of the job

This role will play a key part in the production of routine monitoring reports, ensuring all data queries relayed back from the Pharmacy Department and other areas are completed within agreed timescales to minimise the risk of inaccurate reporting or lost income to the Trust.

Person Specification

Experience

Essential
  • Proven experience in a data or information analysis role
  • Demonstrable experience of database management, analysis, maintenance and development
Desirable
  • Working within an NHS information/ data analysis or admin role

Skills

Essential
  • Performance reporting, data analysis and interpretation, and report generation
  • Intermediate/advanced database query skills using MS Access functions and/or SQL
  • Intermediate/advanced use of Access and Excel
Desirable
  • Knowledge and understanding of Pharmacy practices and procedures

Essential
