Finance DirectorLocation: Melton, WoodbridgeThe Finance Director will lead X-on Healths financial strategy in line with group processes, governance, and performance management, ensuring the business is financially robust, well-controlled, and positioned for sustainable growth in the UK primary care market. This role is both strategic and hands-on, partnering closely with the Group CFO, MD and local leadership team to support commercial decision-making, investment priorities, and long-term planning while maintaining strong financial discipline.Key Tasks:Financial Strategy & LeadershipOwn and evolve X-on Healths financial strategy, aligned to the companys mission to support GP surgeries and primary careAct as a trusted strategic partner to the MD, providing clear financial insight on growth initiatives, product investment, pricing, and customer strategyLead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and multi-year financial plans, taking into account NHS funding cycles and procurement dynamicsFinancial Control & ReportingFull responsibility for monthly management accounts, statutory accounts, and Board reportingEnsure robust financial controls and compliance to group policies and processesOversee tax, VAT, payroll, and statutory complianceCommercial & FinanceOwn SaaS and commercial metrics, including ARR/MRR, MRGP, churn, and customer lifetime valueSupport pricing, contract structures, and commercial terms for GP practices, PCNs, and other NHS customersProvide financial input into tenders, framework opportunities, and larger NHS contracts, balancing growth, margin, and riskCashflow ReportingWeekly cashflow forecasts to be provided to groupGovernance, Risk & ComplianceOversee financial aspects of operating in a regulated healthcare environment, working alongside operational and compliance leadsEnsure financial readiness for NHS assurance processes, audits, and due diligenceIdentify and actively manage financial and commercial risksTeam & Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with group to ensure standardised accounting and reporting is achievedLead and develop the finance function, scaling systems and processes as X-on Health growsWork closely with Sales, Product, Customer Success, and Operations to ensure financial alignment and decision-makingCommunicate financial performance clearly and credibly to the Board and senior stakeholdersWhat will you need to be successful Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)Senior finance leadership experience in SaaS, software, or technology-enabled servicesStrong understanding of subscription revenue models and commercial financeExperience operating in regulated, public-sector, or NHS-adjacent environmentsComfortable operating at both strategic and detail-oriented, hands-on levelsCommercial, pragmatic, and outcome-focusedConfident influencing at MD and Board levelAnalytical, detail-driven, and intellectually curiousValues-aligned with improving primary care and patient communicationBenefits: 25 Days HolidayBirthday Day OffBuy Holiday SchemeCycle to Work SchemeWinter Flu JabsFree On-Site ParkingLearning and development budget with Professional Qualification SupportSocial benefits (paid social events)Employee Assistance ProgramDiscount on Health InsuranceAnnual Salary ReviewEnhanced Company Sick PayMonthly pizza in the office (Hybrid employees) / coffee voucher (Remote employees)SCG Mobile BenefitEmployee Referral BonusPension SchemeSCG is proud to be an equal opportunities employer.We welcome applications from all parts of the community and are committed to upholding the principles of the Equality Act 2010.We are committed to supporting applicants with disabilities.
