Job Title: Technical Project Manager – Information Security (Microsoft Purview, M365)

Location: Corsham (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite per week)

Clearance: Minimum SC Clearance required

Contract Length: ASAP start – initial term to end of March with likely extension

Rate: £500/Day (Outside IR35)

Technical Project Manager Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the implementation of an Information Security capability using Microsoft Purview within a Microsoft 365 (M365) environment for a UK Defence client.

The role will cover both delivery of security tooling and the associated service wrap, including governance, assurance, and user adoption. You will manage a small multidisciplinary technical team and engage closely with client stakeholders to ensure the solution meets operational and compliance requirements within a MOD environment.

Technical Project Manager Role:

• Lead end-to-end delivery of an information security capability using Microsoft Purview tools within M365
• Manage and support a small delivery team including
• Plan and coordinate technical implementation, testing, and transition into service
• Navigate and support client security, assurance, and accreditation processes
• Act as primary point of contact for client stakeholders and suppliers
• Ensure solution aligns with user needs, compliance obligations, and operational constraints
• Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and delivery milestones
• Provide clear reporting on progress, risks, and delivery status to senior stakeholders
• Support development of operating model and service processes around the tooling

Technical Project Manager Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager delivering security or compliance-focused technology solutions
• Strong understanding of information security management principles
• Experience delivering projects within M365 environments
• Experience working with regulated or secure government clients
• Ability to manage technical teams and coordinate specialist resources
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Technical Project Manager Desirable:

• Hands-on or delivery experience with Microsoft Purview (eDiscovery, DLP, Information Protection, Records Management, Insider Risk, etc.)
• Prior experience working in a UK MOD / Defence environment
• Familiarity with MOD assurance and accreditation processes
• Experience implementing tooling alongside service and governance models

Security & Working Requirements

• Must hold current SC Clearance (minimum)
• Able to work onsite in Corsham 2–3 days per week
