A leading digital and data consultancy is growing its AI capability and is looking for software engineers and data scientists with a passion for Generative AI to join its Digital & Data community.

This role sits at the intersection of engineering, AI experimentation, and real-world delivery. You'll work in cross-disciplinary teams alongside product, design and engineering experts to explore, prototype and scale modern AI solutions that solve complex client problems.

You'll be hands-on with emerging technologies, given the freedom to experiment, and supported by a strong internal AI community that values curiosity, learning and shared progress.

AI Engineer – Key Responsibilities

  • Generative AI frameworks and tools such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face, and APIs from OpenAI and Anthropic
  • Building RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) prototypes using vector stores and knowledge graphs
  • Developing and testing agentic architectures enabling AI agents that reason, retrieve and act across systems
  • Exploring LLMOps, evaluation tools and observability platforms (e.g. TruLens, LangSmith)
  • Deploying solutions in modern cloud and DevOps environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Continuous experimentation, learning and knowledge sharing within an internal AI community

AI Engineer – Key Skills Required

  • Live & active DV clearance is required for this role
  • Experience within secure public sector/government environments is key
  • A software engineer with a strong interest in AI, or a data scientist with an engineering mindset
  • Someone who experiments, prototypes and explores AI tools in your own time
  • Comfortable with at least one language suited to AI systems and data workflows
  • Experienced integrating models with APIs, data sources or production systems
  • Curious about LLMs, RAG pipelines (vector and graph-based), and agent frameworks
  • Familiar with cloud-native platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) and DevOps / DevSecOps practices
  • Collaborative, curious, and keen to learn and share knowledge
  • Knowledgeable in prompt/context engineering, model evaluation, and LLMOps concepts
  • Comfortable with distributed systems, microservices and RESTful APIs
