We are currently seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Migration Consultant to support a major cloud transformation programme for a Local Government client.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in migrating critical services and infrastructure into AWS within a complex public sector environment, with a strong focus on AWS networking, governance, and FinOps best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support AWS cloud migration activities across infrastructure and applications
• Assess existing on-premise environments and design migration strategies
• Deliver migration planning, execution, optimisation, and post-migration support
• Design and implement secure AWS networking solutions across hybrid cloud environments
• Support AWS cost optimisation initiatives and FinOps governance
• Work closely with technical teams, architects, and business stakeholders across the programme
• Implement AWS best practices around security, networking, governance, resilience, and scalability
• Support automation and infrastructure-as-code initiatives using Terraform/CloudFormation
• Ensure smooth transition and minimal disruption to business-critical services

Required Experience

• Proven experience delivering AWS cloud migration projects within enterprise environments
• Strong hands-on AWS experience including
• Strong AWS networking and hybrid connectivity experience
• Experience with AWS migration tooling including AWS Migration Hub and Application Migration Service
• Good understanding of FinOps principles including
• Experience with Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and DevOps practices
• Experience working within Local Government, Public Sector, or regulated environments highly desirable
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
