A leading consultancy is looking for an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer with active Security Clearance (SC) and NPPV3 to join their team on an initial 6-month contract with strong extension potential.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a high-impact, secure government project within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
📍 Location: Croydon (1–2 days per week onsite, remainder remote)
📅 Start Date: ASAP
📄 Contract Length: 6 months + extensions
💰 Rate: Dependent on experience
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain secure AWS infrastructure
- Support and optimise 24/7 production environments
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines
- Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability across systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions
🛠️ Required Skills & Experience
- ✅ Active Security Clearance (SC) and NPPV3 (essential)
- Strong AWS experience: EC2, RDS, Aurora PostgreSQL, VPC, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS
- Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Solid experience with Jenkins and Groovy pipelines
- Linux expertise (including Amazon Linux 2023) & containerisation with Docker
- Scripting/programming: Shell, Python, PowerShell, Perl, or Java
- Strong PostgreSQL administration (performance tuning, HA, replication, backup & DR)
- Experience in 24/7 production AWS environments
- Monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Alertmanager
