X4 Technology are partnered with a global energy trading firm on a major multi-year transformation of it's Crude & Products business (oil, refined products, low-carbon fuels). The programme centres on shaping the end-to-end architecture of the Products Trading platform, with Endur (v26) at its core.

The focus is on evaluating current capabilities, selectively leveraging Endur features and unlocking value without unnecessary over-customisation. You’ll architect across a complex ecosystem, designing a robust, scalable trading platform fit for the future. This is a high-priority, VP-sponsored programme with strong visibility, committed funding and a 5+ year delivery runway.

Requirements for the Contract Solution Architect (Integration)

Key to the programme is an integration-focused Solution Architect joining on a long-term basis. This role centres on integration patterns and data architecture, transitioning from a point-to-point, Endur-centric landscape to a truly data-centric platform. We're looking for the following

• Proven experience designing and delivering integration-heavy architectures , including event-driven systems, microservices and modern integration patterns
• Strong understanding of building scalable, resilient and maintainable integrated solutions.
• Ability to simplify complex landscapes, enabling seamless data flow and reducing monolithic dependencies
• Strong Azure expertise , with a particular focus on integration technologies and data platforms such as Kafka, Azure Event Grid, Service Bus and related services
• Domain experience in commodities trading (ideal), or adjacent sectors such as financial services, supply chain or logistics
• Direct Endur experience is nice to have, but not essential

The role is for a 6 month rolling contract, with multi year scope. The rate is £750-900/d inside IR35, working in central London on a hybrid basis (3 days per week).
