We’re working with a well-established enterprise client looking for an experienced Desktop Support Specialist to join their on-site IT team in Central London.
This is not a standard support role - you’ll be providing high-level, white-glove support to senior stakeholders, with a strong focus on executive users and multimedia meeting environments.
Desktop Support Specialist – Key Responsibilities
What you’ll be doing:
- Providing 2nd/3rd line desktop support across Windows environments
- Acting as an escalation point for complex technical issues
- Supporting laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals
- Delivering VIP/executive support with professionalism and discretion
Key Focus – AV & Boardrooms:
- Owning support of meeting rooms and boardroom environments
- Supporting video conferencing tools (Teams Rooms, Zoom, Webex)
- Troubleshooting AV equipment (cameras, microphones, displays, etc.)
- Performing pre-meeting checks and supporting high-profile meetings
- Working with vendors on upgrades and maintenance
Tech Environment:
- Windows 10/11
- Microsoft 365 (Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint)
- Active Directory & Group Policy
- Networking fundamentals (LAN/Wi-Fi troubleshooting)
Additional Responsibilities:
- Managing hardware lifecycle (builds, deployments, replacements)
- Supporting onboarding/offboarding processes
- Maintaining documentation and asset records
- Contributing to process improvements and IT projects
Desktop Support Specialist – Key Skills Required
- 5+ years in desktop / end-user support
- Strong experience in a 2nd/3rd line or escalation role
- Proven AV / boardroom / video conferencing experience (essential)
- Experience supporting senior stakeholders or executive users
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Nice to have:
- Microsoft certifications
- Experience with Teams Rooms or similar
- ITIL knowledge
- AV-related certifications
This is an on-site role in central London so all candidates must be able to work full-time in.
