Job Title: Full Stack Software Engineer

Location: London (Hybrid / Flexible)

Type: Permanent or Contract

Clearance: Active Enhanced DV or DV clearance preferred | SC clearance considered

We’re working with a specialist digital consultancy delivering secure, user-centred solutions across government and national security sectors. They’re looking for talented Full Stack Developers who can contribute to mission-critical systems - blending strong back-end development in Go with solid Front-End (FE) knowledge , particularly in React .

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Go (Golang) and React
  • Collaborate with designers, DevOps engineers, and product teams to build scalable, user-focused services
  • Ensure high standards of software quality through code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD practices
  • Participate in architecture discussions and technical design sessions
  • Integrate APIs and backend systems into modern, accessible front-end interfaces
  • Contribute to continuous delivery pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices
  • Maintain awareness of security and performance in all aspects of delivery

Key Requirements

  • Active Enhanced DV clearance (preferred) – essential for access to secure projects (Can be regular DV or SC)
  • Proven experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer
  • Strong knowledge of Go (Golang) for backend development
  • Solid Front-End experience – ideally with React , TypeScript, and modern UI patterns
  • Experience working within Agile / DevOps delivery environments
  • Understanding of secure coding practices and working within classified or government settings
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to technical challenges
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, comfortable working in cross-functional teams

Desirable:

  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automation pipelines
  • Understanding of infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
