I’m working with a client who is looking to appoint a Lead Technical Enterprise Architect to play a key role in shaping and driving their technology strategy.
This is a senior, high-impact position where you’ll lead enterprise architecture across a complex IT landscape—setting standards, influencing stakeholders, and delivering long-term architectural vision.
The Opportunity
You’ll be responsible for defining and evolving the organisation’s Information Systems architecture, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned to business goals. This role sits at the heart of technology decision-making, working closely with senior stakeholders including the CTO.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading enterprise-wide architecture strategy and governance
- Designing scalable, secure solutions aligned to business objectives
- Developing 5-year roadmaps and target-state architectures
- Identifying and reducing technical debt across the organisation
- Driving innovation, including AI and automation initiatives
- Guiding and mentoring delivery teams to ensure best practice
- Translating business needs into robust technical designs
- Managing stakeholder expectations and resolving technical challenges
- Supporting system selection (COTS vs in-house) and interoperability decisions
- Ensuring compliance with security, data governance, and regulatory standards
Key Experience Required
- Proven experience in a similar enterprise/technical architecture role
- Strong knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks (ideally TOGAF)
- Experience working across Agile and Waterfall environments
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with tools such as Orbus Infinity or iServer
- Background in Financial Services, Oil, or Commodity Trading
- Exposure to low-code platforms (e.g. OutSystems)
