Job Title: Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN Technical Authority
Day Rate: Up to £350/day (OUTSIDE IR35)
Location: Fully Remote
Contract Length: 3-6 Months
Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN Technical Authority - Role & Responsibilities
- Act as technical authority for Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN, providing expert guidance across WAN/LAN design, routing, segmentation, and change impact/risk assessment.
- Provide governance and operational assurance, including configuration drift detection, template/version alignment, and maintaining estate hygiene.
- Support change and CAB processes by delivering clear technical narratives, risk statements, and senior-level input to stakeholders.
- Design and maintain operational dashboards in Cisco vManage, improving visibility, trend analysis, and proactive issue detection across WAN/LAN/Wi-Fi domains.
- Support end-to-end network operations, including complex routing issues, cross-domain dependencies, incident/problem resolution, and engagement with customer technical stakeholders.
Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN Technical Authority - Required Experience
- Cisco Catalyst SD‐WAN / Viptela (demonstrable project work)
- Proven experience operating as a technical authority, not just a delivery engineer
- vManage, vSmart, vBond
- Strong governance mindset, with experience in regulated or CNI environments.
- Excellent communication skills
