Product Manager (Credit):
As a Product Manager (Credit), you’ll help shape the strategy and execution of a new credit offering, working closely with a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, and designers. You’ll operate at the intersection of technology, regulation, and partnerships, collaborating with external partners and internal teams to design experiences that feel simple and seamless, even when powered by complex integrations.
Responsibilities of the Product Manager (Credit) include:
- Lead the zero-to-one product vision and roadmap for a new credit offering, defining the journey from application and automated underwriting through to disbursement and repayment.
- Partner with external data providers and financial partners to design integrations that enable real-time credit decisioning.
- Work cross-functionally with Engineering and Design to build a seamless end-user experience supported by reliable and scalable infrastructure.
- Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy in partnership with commercial and marketing teams, moving the product from early pilots to scaled adoption.
- Collaborate with Risk, Fraud, and Compliance teams to embed regulatory and security requirements into the product design.
- Engage directly with customers to understand pain points in existing credit solutions and prioritise features accordingly.
- Define and track key product metrics, including user experience, conversion, and portfolio performance.
- Own sprint planning and backlog management for a dedicated engineering team, balancing speed of delivery with long-term scalability.
About You
- 4+ years of product management experience, with a track record of launching and scaling products in fintech, lending, or other regulated environments.
- Experience across the credit lifecycle, with an understanding of lending regulations and decisioning processes. Knowledge of origination, risk modelling, or revolving credit is beneficial.
- A builder mindset, comfortable creating clarity and momentum in early-stage product environments.
- Technically fluent, with experience working with APIs and third-party integrations.
- Strong cross-functional collaborator, able to align technical, commercial, and regulatory stakeholders.
- Data-driven and experimental, using both quantitative and qualitative insights to inform decisions.
- Clear communicator, able to translate complex financial or regulatory concepts into actionable plans.
