Project Manager – Fintech / Payments
📍 Cambridge (Hybrid) | 💰 Up to £100,000 base salary
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a fast-growing fintech payments business operating in a highly regulated environment. You will be responsible for leading end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional projects across product, engineering, operations, and compliance.
This is a high-impact role within a scaling organisation where speed, precision, and strong stakeholder management are critical.
Key Responsibilities of the Project Manager include:
- Lead full lifecycle delivery of complex payment and fintech projects
- Manage multiple cross-functional stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Operations, and Compliance
- Define project scope, timelines, governance, and delivery frameworks (Agile / hybrid)
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to regulatory standards
- Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and issues across delivery streams
- Drive alignment between technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Report progress to senior leadership and support strategic decision-making
- Continuously improve delivery processes and project governance
Key Requirements of the Project Manager include:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in fintech, payments, or regulated financial services
- Strong understanding of Agile and/or hybrid delivery methodologies
- Excellent stakeholder management at senior level
- Experience delivering end-to-end complex, cross-functional programmes
- Strong ability to operate in fast-paced, high-growth environments
- Knowledge of payment systems, card issuing, or regulated financial products (desirable)
- Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills
