📍 Cambridge (Hybrid) | 💰 Up to £100,000 base salary

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a fast-growing fintech payments business operating in a highly regulated environment. You will be responsible for leading end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional projects across product, engineering, operations, and compliance.

This is a high-impact role within a scaling organisation where speed, precision, and strong stakeholder management are critical.

Key Responsibilities of the Project Manager include:

  • Lead full lifecycle delivery of complex payment and fintech projects
  • Manage multiple cross-functional stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Operations, and Compliance
  • Define project scope, timelines, governance, and delivery frameworks (Agile / hybrid)
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to regulatory standards
  • Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and issues across delivery streams
  • Drive alignment between technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Report progress to senior leadership and support strategic decision-making
  • Continuously improve delivery processes and project governance

Key Requirements of the Project Manager include:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in fintech, payments, or regulated financial services
  • Strong understanding of Agile and/or hybrid delivery methodologies
  • Excellent stakeholder management at senior level
  • Experience delivering end-to-end complex, cross-functional programmes
  • Strong ability to operate in fast-paced, high-growth environments
  • Knowledge of payment systems, card issuing, or regulated financial products (desirable)
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills
