The Opportunity
This is a high-impact, strategic sales role for an accomplished business development leader with deep, trusted relationships across the UK banking sector. As Vice President – New Business Development, you'll take the lead in driving transformational enterprise deals with major UK banks, leveraging your market knowledge, credibility, and network to deliver significant growth.
You'll work at the intersection of technology and strategy—partnering with C-level decision-makers to help them reimagine their core banking, payments, and lending operations through innovative fintech solutions.
Please note: This is an in-person, relationship-driven role based five days per week in the London office or on client site.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end business development strategy for Tier 1 and Tier 2 UK banks—prospecting, developing, and closing new high-value opportunities.
- Build and nurture senior relationships with decision-makers across retail, corporate, and wholesale banking divisions.
- Position the company's fintech portfolio—including digital banking platforms, payments infrastructure, lending solutions, and AI-enabled automation—within strategic transformation programmes.
- Collaborate closely with product, marketing, and delivery teams to craft tailored proposals that align technology capabilities to business imperatives.
- Represent the company at industry events, client forums, and executive roundtables to strengthen visibility and influence across the banking ecosystem.
- Maintain deep awareness of the UK banking landscape—regulatory trends, competitive dynamics, and the shifting role of cloud, data, and AI in financial services.
Experience & Qualifications
- 10+ years' experience in financial services, fintech, or consulting, with a strong record of revenue generation and relationship development.
- Extensive network and proven track record of selling into Tier 1 and Tier 2 UK banks (minimum 7 years).
- Strong understanding of banking operations, digital transformation, and the core technology challenges facing large institutions.
- Expertise in managing long, complex enterprise sales cycles with multiple stakeholders and business units.
- Background in top-tier consulting (Big 3 / Big 4) advantageous.
- Exposure to or understanding of cloud-based, AI, and data-driven solutions is preferred.
- Highly credible, commercially astute communicator with exceptional relationship management, influencing, and negotiation skills.
