Solutions Architect
Role: Solutions Architect (ETRM)
Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to £120,000 depending on previous experience
A fast-growing commodity trading firm is looking for an experienced Solutions Architect to play a key role in shaping its enterprise technology landscape.
In this role, you’ll lead architectural design across the organisation, setting standards, guiding technical decisions, and working closely with stakeholders across technology and the business. You’ll balance strategic thinking with hands-on architectural leadership, supporting multiple initiatives while helping drive the firm’s long-term technology vision.
This is a great opportunity to influence multi-year roadmaps, address technical debt, and help evolve the organisation toward a modern target-state architecture, while exploring emerging technologies such as AI and automation.
Key Responsibilities of the Enterprise Architect role include:
- Lead the design and evolution of enterprise and information systems architecture
- Define, govern, and promote architectural standards and best practices
- Partner with senior stakeholders to shape and deliver technology strategy
- Support system selection and key technology decisions
- Champion innovation, including AI, automation, and emerging technologies
- Define and communicate current and target-state architectures
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to delivery teams
- Ensure security, governance, and regulatory compliance across solutions
Key Requirements of the Enterprise Architect role include:
- Proven experience in a Solutions Architect or Enterprise Architect role within Commodity or Energy Trading
- Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF preferred)
- Experience working across both Agile and waterfall environments (BPMN beneficial)
- Demonstrated technical leadership or management experience
