Role: Web Developer

Type: Full time

Salary: £45,000-£55,000 DOE

A fast-growing insurtech based in Essex are looking for a detail-orientated Web Developer to join their team as they enhance their web product offerings.

Key Responsibilities of the Web Developer include:

• Writing efficient code using best practice for software development
• Creating websites using different languages such as HTML and CSS
• Debug and profile applications associated with developing, testing and deploying web applications
• Work with programmers and Web Designers to create a website that matches the visual design intent
• Create and maintain the documentation for software used
• Improve and enhance websites after they've been created
• Collaborate with business colleagues to gather and refine requirements and specifications for content development within agreed-upon timelines

Key Requirements of the Web Developer include:

• 5+ years of web development experience, preferably with a Computer Science degree or related qualification
• Proven expertise in C#, ASP.NET/Core, MVC, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON and application debugging
• Strong understanding of MVC architecture, REST APIs, IIS and web security best practices
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in building robust web applications from the ground up
• Strong interpersonal skills, pro-active approach and desire to take ownership on projects
• Nice to have: Exposure to any UI binding framework such as Vue.js, AngulaJS, React and Knockout would be beneficial
