Job Title: Workday Functional/Technical Consultant (Tier 2 Support & Build Team)
Location: Hybrid in London (2-3 days)

We’re partnering with a leading global organisation looking to build out a Tier 2 Workday Functional and Technical Support team to provide additional build capacity across key domains. This team will manage lower-complexity Workday configurations and enhancements with minimal oversight, working closely with senior functional leads and technical architects.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Workday professionals to step into a dynamic, hands-on environment where you’ll contribute directly to continuous improvements across HCM, Time & Absence, Payroll, and Workday integrations.
Workday Functional Consultant – Key Responsibilities
Functional Focus (HCM / Time & Absence / Payroll):
- Manage Workday configuration and enhancements across key functional areas.
 - Build and maintain Business Processes, Calculated Fields, Reports, and Security Groups.
 - Support and optimize onboarding, change job, and termination workflows.
 - Configure complex time-off, leave, accrual, and time-tracking processes.
 - Work on payroll configuration, including earnings, deductions, and external payroll integrations.
 - Develop and maintain reporting and dashboards using Workday data sources.
 - Partner with Tier 1 teams to troubleshoot and resolve configuration or transactional errors.
 - Ensure compliance with payroll and HR regulatory requirements.
 
Technical Focus:
- Own and support the hire-to-retire lifecycle within Workday.
 - Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of new Workday features and updates.
 - Collaborate with business and engineering teams to align Workday initiatives with company goals.
 - Represent Workday across the HR technology landscape, ensuring seamless integrations with other systems.
 - Enhance user experience by continuously optimizing Workday processes and interactions.
 
Workday Functional Consultant – Key Skills Required
- 5+ years’ experience implementing or supporting Workday HCM solutions.
 - Workday PRO Certification in relevant modules strongly preferred.
 - Hands-on experience with EIBs, Core Connectors, and Workday Public APIs.
 - Proven experience configuring HCM, Time & Absence, and Payroll (including third-party integrations).
 - Strong understanding of security group permissions, calculated fields, and report building.
 - Experience supporting additional Workday products (Recruiting, Compensation, Talent, Learning).
 - Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a proactive, collaborative approach.
 - Ability to thrive in complex and technically challenging environments.
