Group Data Analyst

My client is a leader within the motor trade and operate on a multi-site / multi franchise structure. Celebrating over 50 years of this family run firm who are a recognised brand across the Midlands, Northwest & Greater Manchester. Providing first class products and services.

We have an exciting role for a Group Data Analyst to join the marketing team. The successful Data Analyst will be a commercially minded and results focused individual who will be responsible for overseeing data collection, processing and analysis, you will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and strong Microsoft Excel skills to confidently drive results in the role.

  • This is a permanent role but my client are seeking someone with an immediate start availability hence taking on a temporary – permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities of the Group Data Analyst

  • Collect, organise and maintain data from multiple internal and external sources
  • Analyse large data sets to identify trends, patterns and actionable insights
  • Create and maintain dashboards, reports and performance trackers for the marketing team
  • Monitor and evaluate marketing campaigns, customer engagement, and sales data
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into data-driven solutions
  • Provide regular reporting on key metrics, highlighting opportunities for improvement
  • Ensure accuracy, integrity and security of all marketing and customer data
  • Support data segmentation for targeted campaigns and customer communications
  • Develop and refine processes for data collection and management to improve efficiency
  • Present analysis and findings in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Use advanced Microsoft Excel functions (pivot tables, lookups, macros) to manipulate and interpret data
  • Conduct competitor and market analysis to support strategic decision-making
  • Recommend data-led strategies to improve marketing effectiveness and ROI
  • Keep up to date with industry best practices in data analysis, marketing analytics and reporting tools

Desired Skills and Experience of the Group Data Analyst

  • Proficient in Microsoft software including but not limited to Excel.
  • Strong organisational still and ability to manage workload.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Previous experience working within a similar data role.
  • Strategic and commercial thinker.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with different departments.
  • Knowledge of the automotive industry is preferred but not required
