Transport Admin Apprentice

We’re currently recruiting for Transport Administrator Apprentice based at our customer site in Ilkeston, Derbyshire for our transport operations.
Role
Accountabilities:
- Liaising with customers regarding delivery schedules, delivery updates and service enquiries
- Accurate data entry and maintenance of transport management systems
- Communicating with hauliers, drivers and third-party delivery networks to coordinate collections and deliveries
- Monitoring daily transport operations and tracking shipments through to completion
- Proactively notifying customers of delivery dates, times and any delays
- Investigating delivery failures, service issues and customer complaints, ensuring corrective actions are taken where required
- Uploading, retrieving and tracing Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation
- Preparing and issuing loader packs, manifests and delivery paperwork
Training
- Traffic Operator Level 2 Apprenticeship
- Functional Skills in English and math at level 2 unless exempt through previous qualifications gained
- An apprenticeship allows you to earn a wage, gain valuable work experience and industry-specific competence
- Potential for full-time employment on successful completion of the apprenticeship
