Senior AI Strategy Consultant – UK (Hybrid/Remote)

Our client is a fast-growing AI consultancy helping ambitious mid-market organisations turn AI hype into hard commercial results – measurable ROI, operational efficiency, and better customer experience, all delivered responsibly and safely. They act as trusted advisors, guiding businesses from first strategic conversation through to delivery and adoption.

As business development continues to build a strong pipeline of mid-market UK opportunities, our client is looking for a Senior AI Strategy Consultant to take ownership of early-stage client conversations – shaping AI strategies, building roadmaps, and converting interest into long-term, high-value engagements.

The Role

You’ll be the senior client-facing voice bridging strategy and delivery: leading value discovery sessions, building trust with stakeholders from C-suite to operational leads, and translating business challenges into commercially credible AI use cases. You’ll shape strategies and roadmaps aligned to client outcomes, working closely with delivery teams to define data foundations, governance, and pilot proposals – then help grow those relationships from a single AI deployment into an ongoing innovation partnership.

You’ll also play a visible role in the business’s growth: contributing to proposals and commercial discussions, representing the company at industry events and webinars, feeding into go-to-market strategy, and helping build out a Microsoft Partner channel.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading discovery conversations to understand client objectives and AI/data maturity
• Building and presenting AI strategies, roadmaps, and pilot proposals
• Acting as a subject matter expert across proposals, pitches, and commercial negotiations
• Developing long-term client accounts, from initial deployment to retained innovation partnerships
• Partnering with delivery and engineering teams for a smooth handover from strategy to execution
• Contributing to internal frameworks, methodologies, and thought leadership content
• Representing the business externally at conferences, webinars, and customer forums

What They’re Looking For

• Demonstrable experience shaping AI strategy for mid-market or enterprise clients
• Strong commercial acumen – able to spot high-value opportunities and articulate ROI
• Solid grounding in modern data platforms, governance, and AI tooling; Microsoft Azure Data & AI experience (Azure OpenAI, Synapse, Fabric) preferred
• Understanding of GenAI risk, bias, accuracy, and compliance considerations
• Confident operating in ambiguity – able to shape narratives and design roadmaps from scratch
• Excellent stakeholder, communication, and facilitation skills; comfortable translating technical detail into business language
• Experience scoping and overseeing client engagements or proof-of-value projects
