Production ingest/edit engineer – Avid production systems

We are looking for an experienced Production Ingest/Edit Engineer to support and maintain business-critical Avid production environments within a leading broadcast and media operation.
This role will suit someone with strong hands-on experience supporting editors, production teams and post-production workflows in fast-paced broadcast, media or post-production environments.
Key responsibilities:
• Support and maintain Avid editing and production platforms across operational and project environments
• Troubleshoot complex workflow, application and infrastructure issues affecting editorial and production teams
• Support editors, dubbing mixers and production users in time-critical environments
• Manage and support shared storage, media movement and project workspace environments
• Support engineering changes, platform upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives
• Work closely with production, operational and technical stakeholders to ensure reliable delivery of content
• Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures and support runbooks
Required experience:
• Strong practical experience supporting Avid editing environments in broadcast, post-production or media operations
• Strong knowledge of:
* Avid Cloud UX
* Avid NEXIS
* Avid Media Composer
* Avid Pro Tools
* Audio dubbing and edit support workflows
* Avid Interplay Production Asset Management (PAM)
• Experience supporting Adobe Premiere Pro within professional production environments
• Strong understanding of shared storage platforms, media flow, project management and editorial workflows
• Proven experience supporting both end users and back-end platform components
• Strong understanding of media formats, codecs, transcoding, audio/video synchronisation and file-based workflows
• Experience supporting live, near-live or business-critical production environments
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and documentation skills
Desirable:
• Experience within major broadcasters, streaming platforms or post-production facilities
• Experience supporting hybrid or cloud-based production workflows
• Knowledge of media asset management and content supply chain technologies
