Dynamics and Power Apps Consultant
An IT Solutions provider is looking for a Dynamics and Power Apps Consultant to join a housing company.
- Map every Power Platform resource (apps, flows, environments) to its connectors and true licence requirements (Premium, Per App, Per User, Dynamics-bundled).
- Identify all users accessing each resource, their currently assigned licences, and (where possible) actual usage frequency/functionality accessed.
- Identify where licences are auto-applied (eg Dynamics 365 granting Power Apps entitlements) versus manually assigned.
- Identify users whose security role/access effectively supersedes stated licence requirements.
- Review all trial licence allocations and their current business justification.
- Design and propose a target-state licence allocation model, correcting current MIS-assignments.
- Calculate the accurate licence requirement (today) and highlight any purchasing need.
- Produce a forward-looking licensing plan to support future Power Apps/Dynamics growth.
- Design and support implementation of RBAC in Entra ID/Dynamics to enforce licence assignment going forward.
- Evaluate supporting tooling (tenant scanner, Center of Excellence starter kit, FinOps/usage tools) to sustain ongoing governance.
- Proven hands-on experience administering Power Platform Admin Centre and Microsoft Entra ID security groups/RBAC.
- Strong working knowledge of Dynamics 365/Power Platform licensing models (Customer Service, Power Apps Per App/Per User, Premium connectors, bundled entitlements).
- Experience auditing and reconciling licence assignment against actual application/connector usage.
- Familiarity with Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) toolkit or equivalent governance tooling.
- Ability to interpret and cross-reference Power Platform Admin Centre exports (Tenant Level Details, All Users, Non-Compliance reports).
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills - able to present findings and licensing recommendations to IT leadership and budget holders.
- Experience with licence budgeting/forecasting and procurement recommendations.
