Java Developer - Core Banking

We're hiring 2 Senior Java Engineers to strengthen our Core Banking team, driving the development, modernization, and support of mission-critical banking services and integrations.
You'll join a team working on high-impact initiatives - core banking transformation, Legacy system modernization, regulatory compliance enhancements, and integration with digital banking channels. As platform demands grow and we work to reduce technical debt, we need engineers who can combine hands-on development with technical leadership.
This role suits someone with strong Java engineering skills and solid understanding of core banking processes and enterprise-scale financial systems.

Required Skills

• Extensive hands-on experience with Java enterprise development (Java 11/17+)
• Spring Boot and Spring Framework
• REST APIs and Microservices architecture
• JPA/Hibernate
• Maven or Gradle
• Enterprise integration technologies: REST & SOAP services, Kafka (or similar), event-driven architectures, XML/JSON message processing
• Strong database experience: Oracle Database, SQL development and performance tuning, data analysis and troubleshooting
• Understanding of core banking architecture, distributed systems, integration patterns, and high-availability/resilient application design
• Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders
• Experience in production-critical financial environments
• Fluent English (spoken and written)

Nice to Have

• Experience with core banking platforms: Oracle FLEXCUBE, Temenos T24/Transact, Finacle, Mambu, Thought Machine, or similar
• Git and CI/CD pipelines
• Kubernetes or OpenShift
• Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• Event-driven architecture
• Test automation frameworks
• Banking standards: ISO 20022, SWIFT MT/MX, PSD2/Open Banking
• Experience supporting core banking migration or transformation programs
• Strong understanding of core banking operations
