Senior AI Engineer
We're recruiting on behalf of a generative AI engineering firm that partners with large enterprises to build and deploy production-grade AI solutions. This is not a consultancy in the traditional sense; there are no PowerPoint decks or recommendations handed over and forgotten. Engineers design, build, and own solutions end to end, working directly alongside client teams from kickoff through to live deployment.
The business operates across a range of sectors including retail, financial services, travel, gaming, and sports, and consistently gets solutions into production within weeks rather than months. Engineers here work closely with one of the world's leading AI labs, with access to frontier models ahead of general release.
What the role involves:
- Designing and building production generative AI applications, primarily LLM-based and agentic, for large enterprise clients
- End-to-end ownership from architecture and build through to deployment and iteration
- Serving as a technical lead and client-facing advisor within small, cross-functional engineering teams
- Applying genuine engineering rigour to evaluations, reliability, and production readiness
What we're looking for:
- Strong Python engineering with a proven track record of shipping production AI systems
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and generative AI in real, deployed contexts; not just prototypes
- Confidence and credibility in client-facing environments
- Self-sufficient and comfortable operating without heavy support structures
- 4-5+ years in applied software or AI engineering
