Senior AI Engineer:
£90-105k + 10% quarterly bonus
Xcede is partnering with a rapidly scaling fintech business that is building AI at the heart of its platform.
They are looking for a senior AI-focused engineer to act as a central force in shaping and executing their AI strategy, helping the organisation transition into a truly AI-enabled business.
You will own the delivery of production-grade AI systems end to end, from early experimentation through to live deployment, building personalised, automated, and scalable capabilities across a cloud-native environment using LLMs, agent-based systems, and retrieval techniques. The role involves close collaboration with product, engineering, and data teams, as well as mentoring and influencing best practices across the wider organisation.
Requirements:
- Experience as a computer science or software engineer
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience using machine learning and AI frameworks
- Worked with LLMs
- Solid understanding of data modelling, statistical methods, and experimental design
- Experience developing APIs and embedding models within production systems
- Hands-on experience with cloud-based AI infrastructure and modern LLMOps/MLOps workflows
- Demonstrated ability to balance speed of delivery with technical excellence
- Ability to collaborate effectively
- Ability to communicate effectively
