Finance Manager

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced finance professional to take ownership of our cashflow management and lead our Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) teams. This is a key role within a fast-growing tech solutions organisation on a hybrid basis, offering the opportunity to make a real impact on how we manage working capital, strengthen supplier relationships, and improve financial processes.

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you’ll need to bring:

  • A proven track record in working capital management, ideally within a growing business.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience of managing, motivating and developing a team.
  • The ability to problem-solve and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced IT knowledge, particularly with MS Excel, NetSuite and Access.
  • Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships both inside and outside the business.
What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading and developing the AP and AR teams, ensuring objectives are clear and workloads well managed.
  • Taking full ownership of cashflow management, including:Preparing and updating forecasts for individual entities & producing the group’s rolling 13-week cashflow forecast to optimise working capital.
  • Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships, including negotiating credit terms where appropriate.
  • Overseeing the smooth onboarding of new customers and suppliers.
  • Ensuring billing is accurate and timely, working closely with the Billing Team and Customer Account Managers.
  • Maintaining and reconciling AP and AR ledgers, including supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Managing invoice approval and payment processes, making sure robust financial controls are in place.
  • Supporting external audits with accurate, timely information.
  • Reviewing and improving processes, systems and controls to enhance efficiency across the finance function.

Working Pattern

This is a hybrid role, with the expectation of working in the office one to two days per week and the flexibility to work remotely for the remainder.
