Xenon Connect is looking for a creative, enthusiastic and motivated Digital Marketing Assistant / Trainee to join our team in Wrexham.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop their career in digital marketing, content creation and business communications. You’ll work closely with a small, friendly team and gain hands-on experience across a wide range of marketing activities, helping to promote our services, events, training programmes and industry publications.

Whether you’re a recent graduate, college leaver or someone with some marketing experience looking for your next challenge, we’d love to hear from you.

Full training will be provided.

What You'll Be Doing

As part of our marketing team, you’ll be involved in a variety of creative and digital marketing projects, including:

  • Writing website content, case studies and blog posts
  • Producing content for our industry magazine websites, including the use of AI-assisted content creation tools
  • Editing and publishing podcast episodes
  • Creating social media content to promote podcast releases
  • Supporting exhibitions, events and trade shows, including photography and on-site marketing activities
  • Assisting with event planning and organisation
  • Updating and managing content within our online training course portals
  • Supporting Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertising campaigns
  • Assisting with Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) activities
  • Supporting our social media channels through regular content creation and engagement
  • Designing exhibition stands, leaflets, brochures and marketing materials
  • Creating and managing direct mail marketing campaigns

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Creative, organised and eager to learn
  • Passionate about marketing, digital media and content creation
  • Comfortable writing engaging content for different audiences
  • Confident using social media platforms professionally
  • Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication skills

Desirable Skills

While not essential, experience in any of the following would be beneficial:

  • Graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
  • Website content management systems (CMS)
  • Social media management
  • Photography or video editing
  • Podcast production or audio editing
  • SEO and PPC marketing
  • AI content creation tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot or similar platforms
