The Opportunity
We are looking for experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors / Commercial Managers or construction professionals who are keen to transition into a consulting role within the construction technology space.
This role is ideal for candidates with strong commercial and costing expertise who have worked with ERP systems (e.g., COINS, Viewpoint, Causeway, IFS, or similar) and are interested in moving from contractor-side roles into ERP implementation and consulting.
Key Responsibilities
ERP Implementation & Consulting
- Analyse client commercial and operational workflows.
- Map construction business processes (cost control, valuations, WIP, subcontractor payments, budgeting) to ERP functionality.
- Support ERP implementation, configuration, testing, and Go-Live activities.
- Participate in system rollout, UAT, and process standardisation initiatives.
- Deliver user training and support client stakeholders during system adoption.
- Identify process gaps and recommend practical, construction-driven solutions.
Project Delivery & Client Engagement
- Facilitate workshops with commercial and project teams.
- Support data validation, master data setup, and reporting structures.
- Assist in documenting “As-Is” and “To-Be” commercial workflows.
- Act as a bridge between contractor teams and technical ERP teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and digital transformation initiatives.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are seeking candidates with:
- 5+ years’ experience in a construction commercial role (e.g., Senior QS, Managing QS, Commercial Manager).
- Strong exposure to:
- Cost control & budgeting
- Variations & valuations
- WIP & subcontractor payments
- Project margin reporting
- Hands-on experience using ERP systems such as:
- COINS
- Viewpoint
- Causeway
- IFS
- Other construction ERP platforms
- Exposure to ERP implementation, system rollout, UAT, or super-user responsibilities is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and interest in client-facing consulting roles.
Education
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- Professional certifications are an advantage but not mandatory.
