All In Media () is a leader in the radio technology industry, supplying broadcast systems and mobile apps to broadcasters across the world.

The company has a range of products and services that we provide to radio stations across the world. These include broadcast systems, mobile apps, integrations with Sonos, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Apple Watch and Android Wear. Our studio broadcast system, Rapid, has recently won the NAB Product of the Year award, and is used to by hundreds of radio stations across the world. We have released over 500 apps, and dominate the UK, Irish & Australian markets. We have recently expanded our business to the USA.

We work with several major radio groups across the world, including the ABC, BBC, Bauer, Global Radio, Hubbard Broadcasting, MediaCo, New York Public Radio, Nova Entertaiment, and SBS.

About the role:

We are looking for an experienced Android Staff Engineer to join our UK team in Twickenham and help build world-class apps for radio stations across the globe. Our apps reach millions of users on mobile, TV, and automotive platforms, delivering seamless audio experiences everywhere.

As an Android Staff Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing high-quality Android applications, mentoring other engineers, and driving technical excellence across the team.

What you will get to do:

  • Lead the development of Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Ensure robust, scalable, and maintainable code through code reviews and technical guidance.
  • Work on apps that integrate with Android Automotive, Android Auto, Android TV, and support audio streaming.
  • Contribute to the full software development lifecycle: planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Advocate for automation in build, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers.

Who we are looking for:

Must have:

  • Strong expertise in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
  • Solid understanding of software development processes, including agile methodologies.
  • A fundamental understanding of coding and an ability to work things out from first principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail, and a desire to be proud of what you do.
  • Proven experience in building and shipping Android apps at scale.

  • Audio streaming technologies
  • Android Auto and Android TV
  • Firebase services
  • Client/server development
  • Automated build and testing pipelines
  • Experience with RESTful API’s
  • Experience on other mobile or tablet platforms would be helpful
