For one of our clients, a fast-growing technology scale-up based in London, we are looking for a Cloud Security Architect to lead the design and implementation of secure cloud architectures that support the company's continued growth across Europe.

This is a strategic, hands-on role for an experienced security professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, influencing architecture decisions, and helping engineering teams build secure-by-design cloud platforms.

You'll work closely with engineering, platform, DevOps, and product teams to define security standards, strengthen cloud infrastructure, and ensure security is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.

What You'll Be Working On

• Designing secure cloud-native architectures for scalable software platforms

• Defining cloud security standards, governance, and best practices

• Supporting engineering teams with secure infrastructure and application design

• Leading threat modelling and security architecture reviews

• Implementing identity, access management, and zero-trust security principles

• Driving DevSecOps initiatives across engineering teams

• Supporting compliance, risk management, and security improvement programmes

• Collaborating with platform and infrastructure teams to strengthen cloud resilience and operational security

Experience Required

• 7+ years of experience in Cloud Security, Security Architecture, DevSecOps, or Platform Security

• Strong experience designing secure AWS or Azure environments

• Deep understanding of Kubernetes, container security, and cloud-native architectures

• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or similar tools

• Strong knowledge of IAM, networking, encryption, and cloud security best practices

• Experience working within high-growth technology or SaaS environments

Nice to Have

• Multi-cloud architecture experience

• Experience with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, or NIST

• Kubernetes security and admission control tools

• Security automation and policy-as-code solutions

• Certifications such as AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, CISSP, or CCSP

• Previous experience mentoring engineers or leading security architecture initiatives
