Data Risk & Governance Analyst – Asset Management London | Hybrid (3 days/week in office) Up to £107,000 + Bonus + Pension + Benefits

A leading asset management organisation is seeking a Data Risk & Governance Analyst to help strengthen its data governance capabilities and support the development of a robust data management framework. This is a strategic role focused on enabling the business to mature its data practices and deliver consistent, high-quality data across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement a comprehensive data management framework covering ownership, quality, usage, and records management

  • Enhance data governance practices and support business-as-usual activities

  • Collaborate with Audit, Risk, IT, and business teams to embed data roles and responsibilities

  • Support Data Risk Assessments and contribute to the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process

  • Maintain strong relationships with internal audit and ensure timely completion of data-related audit actions

What You’ll Bring:
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, standards, and controls

  • Experience writing and implementing data governance policies and processes

  • Proven ability to work across multiple stakeholder groups, including technical and non-technical teams

  • Excellent communication skills to articulate data concepts to varied audiences

  • Experience working in a BAU data governance environment

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence

  • Ability to run workshops, manage complex queries, and drive stakeholder engagement

Desirable Skills:
  • Experience in data risk and control frameworks

  • Data analysis capabilities (macros, scripts, queries) to assess data quality

  • Knowledge of data privacy principles and their impact on governance

  • Commercial awareness and strategic mindset

  • Passion for data and its role in delivering business value

  • Resilience and adaptability in fast-paced environments
