Cloud Solutions Architect

Cloud Solutions Architect - Birmingham (Hybrid, 3 days per week)
£60,000 - £80,000 and benefits

I'm supporting a large, well established organisation in the professional services sector that is looking for an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to drive their modernisation and cloud first technology strategy. This role sits within a collaborative architecture function where you'll influence major cloud initiatives and play a key part in shaping how technology supports the wider business.

You must have prior experience within Professional Services, Legal, or Accounting environments to be considered for this position.

What you'll be doing:

  • Designing end-to-end cloud centric solutions that support business goals and align with long-term technology strategy.
  • Working closely with stakeholders to clarify needs, explore architecture options and communicate recommendations in a clear and accessible way.
  • Assessing the current estate and identifying opportunities to modernise, migrate to Azure, simplify Legacy systems and improve integration.
  • Providing architectural guidance to delivery teams and ensuring designs are implemented effectively throughout the project life cycle.
  • Defining integration approaches between cloud and on-prem systems to ensure consistency, security and interoperability.
  • Advising on cloud security, identity, resilience and governance to ensure solutions meet compliance expectations.
  • Contributing to internal architecture standards and supporting wider discussions on future cloud direction and tooling.
  • Keeping up to date with emerging Azure and cloud-native technologies and introducing new ideas where they add value.

The role suits someone with a solid grounding in Microsoft Azure across IaaS, PaaS and cloud-native design principles, along with an understanding of integration patterns and API management. Experience with tools such as Azure AD, Azure DevOps, Microsoft 365, Windows 365 or the Power Platform will be helpful, as will familiarity with Middleware, identity and access management, AI-related technologies or enterprise applications such as document management, CRM or finance systems. A general understanding of networking or infrastructure fundamentals and experience of Agile delivery will also support success. There is no expectation to meet every area; the organisation is looking for someone with a strong cloud architecture mindset and the ability to design and deliver modern, scalable solutions.

What's on offer:

A supportive, people focused environment, hybrid working with three days a week in Birmingham, investment in professional development and a strong benefits package including healthcare, wellbeing support and flexible working options.
