Hybrid | 5 office locations: East Midlands, South Midlands, Northamponshire

A major UK housing association is undertaking a significant transformation of its enterprise data estate. They are seeking a Data Manager who can provide hands-on leadership across Data Platform, Data Products, and Data Governance, with a strong architectural mindset and a clear focus on execution.

This role requires someone who can move work from intent to delivery: creating clarity, unblocking teams, enforcing standards, and ensuring high-quality, trusted data assets are consistently delivered.

Key Responsibilities

The Role
Own end-to-end delivery across platform, products and governance
Drive standards, clarity and momentum across multi-disciplinary teams
Deliver certified data products and a stable semantic layer
Embed governance, quality rules and audit readiness into delivery
Work closely with BI, IT and Transformation to enable meaningful data outcomes
Lead and develop teams across engineering, modelling and governance

Experience Required
Leading data engineering/modelling/governance teams
Delivering modern data platforms and semantic layers
Managing delivery in fast-paced, complex environments
Turning business requirements into structured, deliverable data outputs

Desirable
Legacy estate modernisation
Regulated or audit-heavy environments
Azure/Databricks exposure
